Jewellery casting involves creating a mould and then pouring metal into it, allowing for precision and the ability to produce multiple identical pieces.
Both handmade and casting jewellery can be custom designed. Handmade jewellery is inherently more flexible for bespoke creations, while casting can be used for custom designs, particularly when multiple identical pieces are needed.

Handmade jewellery and natural stones like to be treated gently. A few simple habits will keep your piece looking the way it did the day it arrived.

  • Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, hairspray, sunscreen and lotions.
  • Take it off before swimming, showering, cleaning or exercising. Water and harsh chemicals dull natural stones and pearls.
  • Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing it.
  • Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or a lined box, in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Avoid commercial silver dips on stones and pearls. If a piece needs more than a gentle polish, email me and I will advise.

Pearls and softer stones are the most delicate of all, so please handle them with a little extra care. If your piece ever needs attention, contact me at hello@zahraazeez.com.au and I will help.

Because a real person makes what you are buying. I am an electrical engineer who became a jeweller, and I design and make each piece by hand in my Sydney studio.

I choose the stones myself, natural gemstones and pearls picked for their colour and character, then work them into pieces meant to be worn and kept. Most are one of one, so no two are quite the same.

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout, so you will see the exact amount before you pay. All prices on this site are in Australian Dollars.

Pieces that are ready to post are sent promptly, with tracking. Because each piece is made by hand, some items need a little more time, and made to order work takes longer again. If your piece needs extra time, I will let you know by email and give you a timeframe when you order.

Delivery times given by the courier are estimates rather than guarantees. If you need a piece by a particular date, email me at hello@zahraazeez.com.au and I will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

I post orders throughout Australia. If you are overseas and would like a piece, email me at hello@zahraazeez.com.au before you order and I will arrange a delivery quote for your country.

Every order is packed carefully and sent with tracking, so you can follow your piece from my studio in Sydney to your door.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. If a piece arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, email me at hello@zahraazeez.com.au and I will make it right with a repair, replacement or refund.

If you simply change your mind, please contact me within 14 days of delivery. The piece needs to come back unworn and in its original condition and packaging. Return postage is your responsibility, and I recommend a tracked service, as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches me.

Custom and made to order pieces are created for you alone, so they are not eligible for change of mind returns.

Because every piece is made by hand with natural stones, small variations in colour, pattern and shape are part of their character and are not considered faults.
